Chicken Broccoli Casserole is a hearty baked dish combining tender chunks of chicken and vibrant broccoli in a creamy cheese sauce, topped with a golden breadcrumb crust. Ideal for family dinners and potlucks, it reheats beautifully for easy leftovers. Simple to assemble, it delivers comforting flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 2 cup cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Steam broccoli until tender-crisp.
  3. In a bowl, whip together soup, milk, sour cream, and seasonings.
  4. Stir in chicken, broccoli, and cheese until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer mixture to a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  6. Combine breadcrumbs and melted butter; sprinkle evenly over top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 35 minutes until bubbling and golden.
  8. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
